Washington D.C. Memorial 2017

We have many members who traveled to the capitol to take part in the memorial services. We remember all of our SCPD Heroes.

Sergeant Steven Owen was the first official deployment of the Brotherhood For The Fallen, Suffolk County.

We remember you Sergeant Owen...

Police Memorial - Albany

The Police Memorial bus trip to Albany for the New York State Police Memorial is a go!

This year’s Memorial Service is on Tuesday, May 9th.  Both squad 1 and squad 5 are on RDO.

The day trip consists of travel from Hauppauge to Albany and back on a very comfortable 54 seat bus, a very short ¼ mile march to the Police Memorial in the capitol. This is followed by a dignified service that lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Everyone then goes to a nearby fellowship that is co-sponsored by the police unions of the SCPD and NCPD. The bus then returns back home. Breakfast will be provided on the bus as well as food and beverages for the ride back home. There is no cost to members for anything.

The bus departs the south lot of the H. Lee Dennison Building on Veterans Highway, Hauppauge at 7:30 A.M.  The bus will leave Albany at approximately 3:30 PM to return home.

Yes, this sounds like a long day, but it is a rewarding experience and shows the families of the Fallen from New York State that their loved ones are not forgotten. Please join our fellow Officers from around the State on this important day.

The uniform of the day is Class A dress uniform.
